In October 2015, a group of food specialists and chefs from Japan and America introduced their selection of natural Japanese food products at Nippon Gochiso Select’s pop up store in California.
The Ministry of Agriculture and JETRO commissioned CIA to organize a group of young food specialists and to develop a strategy that would produce and promote their selected Japanese food products to American consumers.
In the process of evaluating the products, only 40 of the highest quality products were chosen out of 300 submissions.
The pop up store was held at the organic supermarket, the Berkeley Bowl, for a limited period of two months.
In this timespan, we were able to provide customers with food samples that came with recipes, a menu book, and an online platform for promotional purposes.
